Pre-Nursery: 15 month – 3 Year Olds have the option of joining 2, 3 or 5 days a week.
Core Preschool Program is from 9:00am-12:30pm. Extended care available until 3:30pm.
Our pre-nursery program is designed for the very young child to transition from the sensory-motor world of toddlers to an increasingly social world. Through stimulating learning centers, children have the opportunity to move purposefully, assert their independence, and learn to communicate with their peers. Our experienced and talented teachers use these centers and many enriching activities to foster learning and growth in a warm and nurturing environment. Activities are open ended and emphasize process over product.
| 9:00-9:15 | Arrival, Greetings, Informal conversation. |
| 9:15-9:45 | Discovery time: Free choice among a variety of activities in the learning centers: literacy, reading, writing/listening, manipulatives, dramatic, cooking, science, sand/water, music, etc. |
| 9:45-10:00 | Clean up & a circle time of songs. Including traditional Jewish songs of prayer, charity (tzedakah), and friendship. |
| 10:00-10:15 | Snack Time |
| 10:15-10:30 | Music and Movement: Songs with motions and Finger Plays connecting to the day’s theme. |
| 10:30-11:15 | Active Play (indoors or outdoors, weather permitting) Use of equipment and games. |
| 11:15-11:30 | Circle Time with music, stories and games to introduce the theme and its concepts. |
| 11:30- 12:00 | Project time: Opportunities for children to further explore the theme and sharpen specific skills. |
| 12:00-12:30 | Washing Hands, Lunch and Conversation. |
